Site Architect Full Time

Laterite Zone Logistics is seeking a proactive and technically proficient Site Architect (3-5 years experience) to join their project team. The Site Architect will be responsible for overseeing the transformation of architectural designs into functional physical structures. You will be based primarily on-site, managing contractors, ensuring quality control, and ensuring that our warehouse/logistics facilities are built according to specifications, timeline, and budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Supervision & Coordination: Act as the primary technical representative on construction sites, coordinating between contractors, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure smooth project execution.
• Quality Control & Compliance: Inspect works in progress to ensure compliance with architectural drawings, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and local Nigerian building codes and safety regulations.
• Design & Technical Documentation: Review construction drawings, identify inconsistencies, and manage RFI’s (Request for Information) and change orders.
• Logistics-Specific Optimization: Ensure building layouts (warehouses, loading bays, circulation areas) support efficient material flow and warehouse operational workflows.
• Progress Monitoring: Maintain daily/weekly records of material receipts, consumption, and site progress against project timelines.
• Material Verification: Ensure materials used match specifications in the BOQ and ensure quality standards.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: HND or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Experience: 3–5 years of professional architectural experience, preferably in industrial, warehouse, or commercial construction.
• Software Proficiency: Strong skills in AutoCAD and Revit. Familiarity with SketchUp and MS Office Suite (especially Excel for reporting).
• Technical Skills: Deep understanding of construction methodologies, structural components, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) integration.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication skills to manage contractors, excellent problem-solving skills on-site, and ability to manage tight project deadlines.
