Role Overview

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Architectural Journalist to join our editorial team. This role is perfect for a recent graduate or entry-level professional who is deeply passionate about the built environment and possesses a unique ability to translate technical architectural concepts into engaging narratives. You will be responsible for researching, writing, and telling compelling stories that celebrate design and innovation in Africa.

Key Responsibilities

• Content Creation: Research and write original articles, project features, and thought-leadership pieces on architecture and design.
• Storytelling: Develop engaging narratives that highlight the human and social impact of the built environment.
• Social Media Management: Collaborate on social media strategy to share architectural stories across digital channels.
• Industry Engagement: Conduct interviews with architects, designers, and industry stakeholders to uncover emerging trends.
• Research: Stay updated on the latest materials, techniques, and global design trends.

Requirements

• Background: Must be an Architect or have a background in a construction-related field (e.g., Interior Design, Civil Engineering, or Urban Planning or related).
• Writing Passion: Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a portfolio (or school projects) that demonstrates a love for storytelling.
• Remote Readiness: Proven ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively in a fully remote environment.
• Technical Literacy: Ability to read architectural drawings and understand technical details while making them accessible to a broader audience.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for networking and interviewing industry professionals.
